The Architect and Furst Construction worked closely together to develop a very efficient and attractive building. One reoccurring challenge for all buildings in the Salt Lake greater area are seismic concerns. In this case, we were able to avoid the frequently seen structural steel X bracing from blocking the window views by introducing a concrete, cast-in-place shear wall system at the core elements. This also created more usable space for the owners offices and allows for more flexibility of any future floor plan changes. This building was completed on time and on budget.
